Lovely Enjoyable Stay
We spent a few days on the lovely, well equipped, spotless Georgia.
We took our dog Barney who thoroughly enjoyed his stay.
Everything you need is available on the boat.
Matt welcomed us and gave us a good tour and instructions about the boat.
Lovely enjoyable stay. The fire is so cosy on those cool nights. 5? from us.
We are hoping to book again later in the year.
Lovely boat and lovely people.
A Weekend in January!
My wife and I grabbed a 3-day break on the lovely Georgia narrowboat just last weekend… Yes – in January!
Thanks to the lovely multifuel stove she has, we were comfy each evening and the fire stayed in all night! Each morning just a little more coal and she was burning away again. The automatic fan on the top of the stove blows warm air down towards the stern of the narrowboat’s interior. Cosy!
If you want a very quiet narrowboat holiday – with very little canal traffic - do consider a winter break. The scenery is still gorgeous and you never know what birds you might see as non-native, winter visitors appear in the area.
Thanks to Matt & Jen for their advice and training. We loved every minute of our short canal holiday.
A 7-Day Hire
The old gal had some quirks, electric management in the evening to get use to and toilet, but start the engine and everything came back to life.
Its not a modern day car so should be treated like a old Rolls Royce and she will potter on all day. Perhaps a few 12v carlighter sockets would help the electric situation, just a thought.
Nothing spoiled the holiday and will be looking again to hire Georgia off Simon. Great experience!
A Lovely Day on Georgia
The owner was very helpful in booking and the canal boat was clean and well presented.
Driving it was more challenging than we thought but we got the hang of it in the end! Thanks for a great day!
